昆明舰是我国052D型导弹驱逐舰首舰，舷号172，2014年正式入列人民海军。该舰长约155米，满载排水量近7000吨，综合作战能力强劲。舰艇搭载国产通用垂直发射系统，可兼容防空、反舰、反潜及对陆打击弹药，搭配先进相控阵雷达，区域防空与态势感知能力突出。它具备远洋适航性能，能执行编队防空、反潜、护航、巡逻等多重任务。作为海军主力驱护舰艇，昆明舰常年活跃在远海任务一线，是捍卫海洋权益、维护海域安全的重要海上作战平台。

Kunming (hull number 172) is the lead ship of China’s Type 052D guided-missile destroyer, formally commissioned into the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) in 2014.

The warship is about 155 meters long with a full-load displacement of nearly 7,000 tons, boasting powerful comprehensive combat capability. It is fitted with a domestically built universal vertical launching system (VLS), compatible with air-defense, anti-ship, anti-submarine and land-strike ordnance. Paired with advanced phased-array radar, it delivers outstanding performance in area air defense and situational awareness.

Possessing excellent seaworthiness for open-ocean navigation, it can undertake diverse missions including formation air defense, anti-submarine warfare, escort duty and patrol operations. As a principal surface combatant of the navy, the Kunming has long been deployed on frontline far-sea tasks, serving as a vital maritime combat platform for safeguarding maritime rights and interests as well as sea area security.
