Aker Solutions drilling platforms are high-end offshore drilling equipment designed and built by Norway’s Aker Solutions, dominated by semi-submersible units, with representative models including H3, H6e and CAT-B.

The H6e can operate in harsh environments such as the Arctic, with an operational water depth of 1,500 meters and a drilling depth exceeding 10,000 meters. The CAT-B is tailor-made for the Norwegian Continental Shelf, rated for 500 meters water depth and focused on workover and light drilling operations.

These platforms are fitted with the self-developed Drillvie intelligent control system, integrated with top drives, drawworks, iron roughnecks and other machinery to enable automatic drilling and one-touch operation, boasting world-leading automation standards.

Aker Solutions has supplied core technologies for facilities including the Haiyang Shiyou 981, and its equipment is widely deployed for deepwater oil and gas development across the North Sea, Brazil, West Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
