“东方瓦伦西亚”号是东方海外2024年第一艘投入运营的新船，该船将服务于东方海外的亚欧LL1航线。船长399.99米，型宽586米，型深33.5米，载重量达22.8万吨，甲板面积相当于35个标准足球场，满载后可达22层普通住宅的高度，是目前世界上尺度最大的船拍之一，堪称“海上城堡”。该船的研发，融合了最新技术成果及智能化手段，通过船体低阻线型优化，船舶智能能效管理和安全管理系统搭载，大型永磁轴带发电机、高效节能系统以及极厚高强度止裂钢的设计应用，达到安全、节能、环保、为目前全球尺度最大，箱位最多的集装箱船之一。

MV OOCL Valencia is the first new vessel put into operation by Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) in 2024, assigned to OOCL’s LL1 Asia-Europe shipping route.

It has an overall length of 399.99 meters, a moulded breadth of 58.6 meters (corrected obvious typo: original 586m is unrealistic), a moulded depth of 33.5 meters and a deadweight tonnage of 228,000 metric tons. Its deck area equals 35 standard football pitches, and its full-load height is comparable to a 22-storey residential building. As one of the world’s largest container ships by dimensions at present, it is hailed as a “castle on the sea”.

Its development integrates cutting-edge technological achievements and intelligent solutions. By optimizing the low-resistance hull lines, installing intelligent energy efficiency and safety management systems on board, adopting large permanent-magnet shaft generators, high-efficiency energy-saving systems, and extra-thick high-strength crack-arrest steel structures, the vessel achieves excellent performance in safety, energy conservation and environmental protection. It ranks among the world’s largest container ships with the biggest hull dimensions and highest container slot capacity to date.
